1. Overview

WholeWord App helps members access ministry content, live broadcasts, books, events, giving, partnership tools, notifications, and WholeWord AI. The Godhouse Center is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

By using the app or website, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the affected services.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details such as name, email address, password credentials, profile details, country, gender, and church center.
  • Giving, partnership, and purchase information, including amount, currency, purpose, payment status, and transaction references.
  • Messages sent to WholeWord AI, saved AI conversations, ratings, favourites, notes, support requests, and other content you choose to provide.
  • Administrative information where an authorized administrator uses ministry management features.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and app information, notification tokens, operating system, app version, language, and diagnostic logs.
  • Usage activity such as content viewed, books opened, reading progress, media playback, downloads, and feature interactions.
  • Security information such as sign-in activity, IP address, and records used to prevent abuse or unauthorized access.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure accounts; deliver sermons, books, events, notifications, live media, giving and partnership services; confirm purchases and access rights; personalize the experience; answer support requests; improve reliability; prevent fraud; comply with law; and protect users and the ministry.

4. Service providers and sharing

We share only what is reasonably necessary with providers that help operate the service. These may include cloud hosting and object storage providers, Firebase for authentication and messaging, Expo for app delivery and notifications, Paystack for payment processing, OpenAI for WholeWord AI processing, email delivery providers, and technical monitoring services.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety and rights, during a lawful organizational transaction, or with your direction. We do not sell personal information.

5. WholeWord AI

When you use WholeWord AI, your prompt, relevant conversation context, and approved ministry source material may be sent to an AI service provider to generate a response. Conversations may be stored so you can continue them, save responses, report quality, and help us improve safety and relevance.

Do not submit confidential, highly sensitive, medical, financial, or emergency information. AI responses may be incomplete or incorrect and are not a substitute for pastoral, medical, legal, or professional advice.

6. Payments

Payments are processed by Paystack or another disclosed payment provider. WholeWord does not receive or store your full card number, CVV, PIN, or one-time password. We store limited transaction records and provider references needed to confirm giving, purchases, partnership contributions, refunds, disputes, and access.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information. You can manage some profile information, notifications, saved content, downloads, and automatic partnership settings in the app.

You may contact us to exercise a privacy right. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where legally required or necessary for security, financial records, disputes, or ministry administration.

8. Retention, international processing, and security

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution obligations. Information may be processed in countries where our providers operate.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and protect your device.

9. Children’s privacy

WholeWord is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to data processing in their location. Where parental or guardian consent is required, the service should be used only with that consent. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information improperly.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service develops. We will publish the revised date and provide additional notice where appropriate.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to privacy@wholeword.app. For general support, visit the contact page.
